Suspect in Lewiston Massacre Found Dead: Community Exhales Amidst Tragedy

Law enforcement sources informed Fox News that Robert Card, the suspect in the tragic incident that took 18 lives in Lewiston, Maine, on Wednesday, has been discovered deceased.

Maine State Police located Card around 7:45 p.m. on Friday night. Lewiston Police Department’s David St. Pierre expressed relief, saying, “Our community can now breathe a sigh of relief.”

Card’s lifeless body was found near a recycling plant in Lisbon Falls, Maine, close to a dumpster. Police confirmed an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound as the cause of death but did not disclose the exact location.

During a press conference on Friday night, Maine Governor Janet Mills expressed gratitude to local and state law enforcement for their efforts in locating Card. She acknowledged the collaborative work of hundreds of officers from various agencies and states, highlighting their relentless search efforts that led to this discovery.

Card had been the focus of a two-day manhunt following the tragic events at the Sparetime Recreation bowling alley and Schemengees Bar and Grille. The search involved numerous law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, SWAT, and the elite ‘BORTAC’ Border Patrol unit, who diligently worked together to find the armed and dangerous suspect.
