The Motorola Moto G84 has been formally unveiled in India, with the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage option costing Rs 19,999. It enters one of the most fiercely contested markets in the nation. With a sleek design, stylish color options, 5G functionality, a 50MP OIS-enabled camera, and 30W charging, the Moto G84 5G may seem like a very promising option on paper. Additionally, it qualifies for the Android 14 OS. On September 8, it will go on sale in India through Motorola and Flipkart channels.
Moto G84 5G Specs: Display
The Moto G84 has a 6.55-inch pOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 1300 nits. Similar to a conventional AMOLED display, the pOLED panel is said to have vibrant colors and deep blacks. But there are fundamental variations in the makeup. Phones can also be thinner and lighter thanks to pOLED displays.
The Moto G84 promises a pristine software experience, just like other Motorola devices. It comes pre-installed with Android 13 and will eventually get an update to Android 14. Along with certain exclusive features and apps, the phone will also include Moto Connect. It is powered by the Snapdragon 695 SoC from Qualcomm. Several entry-level mid-range choices, including the recently released Vivo V29e, are powered by the same processor. Samsung Galaxy A23 5G, Vivo T2 5G, and OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite are all powered on the Snapdragon 695 SoC. The processor is combined with 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage and 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM.
Motorola has opted for the dual-rear camera system, which was popular up until a few years ago. However, OEMs transitioned to a triple camera arrangement subsequently, including Motorola. A 50-megapixel OIS camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera are both featured on the Moto G84 5G. There isn’t a new depth or macro camera from Motorola. For taking selfies and making video calls, the front camera has 16 megapixels.
A 5,000mAh battery with 30W charging capabilities is included in the Moto G84. Notably, a 33W charging brick is included in the box.
Moto G84 5G: Additional Features
First off, Motorola still ships its cellphones in environmentally friendly boxes. Almost no plastic is used in the packaging. It is also the first Motorola phone in the sub-Rs 20K price range to offer a Pantone color variation. For color matching and producing standards, Pantone is well-known.
White, black, and magenta are its available color options. The black option has a vegan leather finish, while the other two have a PMMA finish.
The Moto G84 also boasts a sophisticated appearance. Its 7.6mm thickness makes it thinner than the recently released Realme 11 5G (8.05mm) and Redmi 12 5G (8.2mm). Additionally, it has an IP54 water-repellent construction.
Its 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera is notable for being able to take macro pictures.
